The charm of making
"A mirror to hear the music, it connects to your iPhone or iPod and can be controlled by natural gestures even without touching the screen. That's because it is set up with an advanced sensors based interface. Open Mirror can be controlled by hand movements and let the User make basic interactions with the music or video player of compatible devices."
PHYSICAL COMPUTING GIVES A NEW APPROACH TO THE DISCIPLINE OF HCI (HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION). PEOPLE ARE MORE SKILLED IN MOVING THEIR BODYS OR HANDS IN THE SPACE THAN GRASPING MOUSE OR KEYBOARDS. NATURAL GESTURE IS A WAY OF GIVING INPUTS THAT ALREADY HUMANS KNOW BY THEIR COMMON EXPERIENCE. THE SENSORS DETECT HUMAN GESTURES AND THE SOFTWARE INTERPRETS AND DECODES THEIR COMPLEXITY, TRANSFORMING THEM IN ALGORITHMS WHICH GENERATE A CONSISTENT OUTPUT USING ACTUATORS. OPENMIRROR CAN BE CONTROLLED BY HAND MOVEMENTS AND LET THE USER MAKE BASIC INTERACTION.
